Opening Reception “Rhythm And Resilience: Black Vegas” Exhibition

Also at the Las Vegas Civic Center (525 Main St), “Rhythm and Resilience: Black Vegas” is an exhibition that explores African American life in Las Vegas, tracing the impacts of segregation and racial barriers while celebrating the creativity, resilience, and achievements that shaped the city’s character. The exhibition opens March 12 and closes Aug. 20, 2026.

Remembering Japanese American Incarceration — Nobuko Miyamoto: A Song in Movement

In recognition of the 84th anniversary of Japanese American incarceration during World War II, Nevada Humanities and the Reno chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League are holding a special screening of Tadashi Nakamura’s film Nobuko Miyamoto: A Song in Movement at the Nevada Museum of Art (160 West Liberty St). Following the screening, stay for tea and conversation in the atrium.
