Si̇lverado Ranch Communi̇ty Center (9855 Gilespie St) is holding a seniors’ art class. All skill levels are welcome. Participants must be 50+. The workshop costs $15. 

Nuwu Art: Indigenous Talent Show

Saturday, March 14, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (Las Vegas)

Come enjoy Native American performances, special exhibitions, food trucks, and authentic arts and crafts vendors. Admission to the event is free. Bring blankets and low-back chairs to sit in the Las Vegas Civic Center outdoor plaza (525 S. Main St). 

Opening Reception “Rhythm And Resilience: Black Vegas” Exhibition

Thursday, March 12, 6-8 p.m. (Las Vegas)

Also at the Las Vegas Civic Center (525 Main St), “Rhythm and Resilience: Black Vegas” is an exhibition that explores African American life in Las Vegas, tracing the impacts of segregation and racial barriers while celebrating the creativity, resilience, and achievements that shaped the city’s character. The exhibition opens March 12 and closes Aug. 20, 2026.

Remembering Japanese American Incarceration — Nobuko Miyamoto: A Song in Movement

Thursday, March 12, 6-7:30 p.m. (Reno)

In recognition of the 84th anniversary of Japanese American incarceration during World War II, Nevada Humanities and the Reno chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League are holding a special screening of Tadashi Nakamura’s film Nobuko Miyamoto: A Song in Movement at the Nevada Museum of Art (160 West Liberty St). Following the screening, stay for tea and conversation in the atrium. 

Youth Art Month Festival ’26

Saturday, March 14, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (Reno)

Lake Mansion Arts and Cultural Center (250 Court St) is holding a free community art festival with a wide variety of activities for all ages— from hands-on crafts to meeting a local historian and exploring Lake Mansion. 

Bows & Throws: Axe Throwing

Saturday, March 14, 1-2 p.m. (Elko)

Children over the age of 8 years old can participate in this axe throwing workshop at the California Trail Interpretive Center (1 Interpretive Center Way).
