Vetoed bill called for semi-open primaries in NV

Update: Nevada Democratic Assembly Speaker Steve Yeager’s open primary bill with amendments would have allowed nonpartisan voters to cast a ballot in partisan primaries. Although AB597 passed the legislature, it was vetoed by Gov. Joe Lombardo.

This could have created a “semi-open” primary in Nevada, similar to Arizona.
