Galentine’s Day Drag Bingo | Friday, Feb. 6 from 6:30-8 p.m. (Las Vegas)
Join drag duo Salem Night and Aloe Vera Stratton as they host an evening of high-energy bingo, fabulous prizes, and show-stopping performances at Centennial Hills Library (6711 N. Buffalo Dr.) The event is free but seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis and may be limited.
OkCello Genre-Defying Cellist in Concert | Friday, Feb. 6 from 7-8 pm (Las Vegas)
Come to the Windmill Library (7060 W Windmill Ln.) and enjoy a free performance by Okorie “OkCello” Johnson, a cellist-songwriter who continues to push the boundaries of storytelling through music.
Night of Expressions Youth Talent Showcase Presents A Day of Talent & Festivities | Saturday, Feb. 7 from 2-4 p.m. (Las Vegas)
Enjoy an afternoon showcasing multitalented local youth and young adults singing, dancing, acting, and performing in celebration of Black History Month. Check out this free show at Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park (720 Twin Lakes Drive). Doors open at 1 p.m.
Biggest Big Game Bash | Sunday, Feb. 8 starting at 11 a.m. (Las Vegas)
The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (200 S 3rd St.) will transform into the ultimate free watchparty and tailgate featuring stadium-style seating, food for purchase, and booming stadium sound. Tables are available to reserve starting at $132. The free bleacher seating is first-come first-serve and standing room only.
Death Valley Dark Sky Festival | Feb. 6-8, all day (Amargosa Valley)
Throughout the weekend, the Death Valley Dark Sky Festival will offer a wide range of programs designed for stargazers of all experience levels—from expert-led talks on astronomy, light pollution, and night photography, to hands-on activities and opportunities to connect with scientists and rangers, and ranger-led telescope viewing under some of the darkest skies in the country. While admission to this event is free, admission to the park in order to access the event is not.
Papier Mache Workshop, Traditional and Festival Masks of Mexico | Fridays, Feb. 6, 13, 20, and 27, from 5-7 p.m. (Las Vegas)
Create your own and learn about Mexico’s papier mache festival masks. Embrace the craft, culture, and community at Winchester Dondero Cultural Center (3130 McLeod Dr.) Participants should attend all four Friday workshops to complete their project. Supplies will be provided. The workshop is free but registration is required, space is limited.
Northern Nevada
“The Big Game” Watch Party at RPM | Sunday, Feb. 8 from 3-9 p.m. (Reno)
Come watch the Super Bowl at Reno Public Market and grab a bite from the food vendors and drinks from Honey Bar and Mami’s Tequila Bar. Seating is first-come first-serve. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m.
Carson City Lights | Feb. 6-15 from 6-10 p.m.
Brewery Arts Center and Visit Carson City invite you to a brand-new immersive art experience located in Carson City’s Mills Park Seely Loop (1111 East William St.) Created by The Potentialist Workshop, this walk-through exhibition blends art, technology, and wonder into a glowing, otherworldly experience that has to be seen to be believed. Tickets can be found online for $20, or for $25 at the door. Kids 12 and under are free.
Eagles & Agriculture | Feb. 5-8 (Carson Valley)
Observe eagles in the field along with experienced birders, discover Carson Valley’s rich agricultural history dating back to the mid-1800s, photograph birds, wildlife and beautiful scenery, and learn how to identify distinct types of eagles, hawks, falcons and owls. Pricing ranges from $45 to $200, locations and times vary.
